Re: Lazy, but relaxing memorial weekend report!

It was good to meet again old friends! Thanks to Rodney (roddawg) and Kristin, Billy (yaketyak), and Mark (mkr123 I guess) for the hospitality! Had an amazing time there. No so relax to endure those waves, but what the heck! This is what I love to do! Well, I had no intentions to go BTB, but since I...

Re: Waterproof camera.

I guess the cameras Mythman posted should cover the all "good" ones. I quote it because telling you the truth and for the extensive research I have done, none of them can compare to Non-waterproof point and shoot good cameras as far as image quality is concerned. I had Olympus though serie...

Re: indecision: avet MXL or Penn Senator

For the sand, I'd go all the way with the Penn Senator. But don't get me wrong, not that the other is bad, I have both, but it is like a Bronco on the beach versus a Toyota tundra, if you get my drift. Both will do the same work, but the pro on the Penn is that it is very easy to maintain and very r...

Re: New to high island

Like Mythman said, with the sand more compacted/packed due to moisture you should be able to go long ways down there. Gotta be a little smart though driving on the sand. I have a VW golf that when the conditions are right, I can get it in many places there. Have I got stuck, of hell to the YES! But ...

Usually on the upper coast, I don't look much for many things. Pretty much start 200 yards out, just after the last break, and soak up baits here and there, going eventually to deeper waters and working my way back to shallow waters (closer to the beach). If birds are not too far way, I may paddle t...

Re: Somerville Report/white bass

Hey ggofish, how did you do this weekend? I used to get some hybrids close to the dam at somerville, but it was at least 3 years ago. I haven't been many times out there from that time, but probably I haven't caught any hybrids anymore since then.
