Re: Advice on cooler/ice chest for kayak/paddleboard fishing
Thanks for all the replies... Keep em' coming. Need to figure this out. Trying to save some weight so trying to avoid the heavier coolers. Yes, will be sitting/standing on the cooler and using it to hold fish for a fish fry.

Advice on cooler/ice chest for kayak/paddleboard fishing
Here's my dilemma... Bought a fishing paddle board. Took it out yesterday for a paddle just to try it out. Found out quickly that my $20 Igloo Marine couldn't hold up my PHATA**... So now I'm in the market. Only stipulation is I don't want to break the bank and must be able to hold a slot red or two...

Do they make these? I know they make the tent cots but I already have a cot(over sized one)... I am wanting one that goes on top of a cot or hooks onto one? Am I even asking the right question????
Thanks.
Thanks.

That thread is GOLD! I've been scouring it for ideas and plan to implement my favorite features. Where did you get your extension G-Man? Scrap yard, it was 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" x whatever length you want it. Mine was 10' long and bolted it from the front of the trailer to the rear(OEM one was ...

Re: Harbor Freight Trailer Question
Also, it seems like all the modifications I find online of this trailer involves welding. I don't have any buddies that weld or any other access to a welding machine. Are there good modifications of the trailer that don't involve welding? Thanks. Didn't weld anything on mine... All nuts and bolts. ...

Re: Suction Cup Rod Holder
Just a followup if any are interested... I made some trips to Texas City Dike numerous times with the setup and all I can say is it worked flawlessly. I've gotten to the point where I don't bungee the rods to the car anymore, just to the rod holders. The trick(as I do it) is use a damp rag and wipe ...

Build a stand that fits in the tankwell and then zip tie your crate on top of it. Here some pics of my crates I used to build.

Re: Ocean Yak-Drifter basket?
If you want to go this route, you could make a stand out of PVC that will fit inside the tankwell. Zip tie it to the bottom of your crate and there ya go... That way you won't have look for a crate specially for the Drifter.

Could have also use insulation tape, might have been cheaper. Great idea tho. I did have the insulation tape at first but just didn't look good, functioned fine but just didn't really look good.
