This says 9 miles is the state/federal line. But regardless, what is on the TPWD page is correct for inside state waters. No season, limit 4.

Brain aneurysms are really quite rare; there are so many more things it could have been. That whole thing just sounds so bizarre.

Very strange and sad.

There is still a lone star kayak tournament left. The west end anglers put on some good ones and their redfish tournament is also still coming up. Google West End Anglers. They have a kayak contingent that competes normally. No specific kayak category.

No, not really saying that. I had a feeling after posting that I hadn't adequately made my point. Just feeling protective of TKF at that moment. Probably unnecessarily so.

I sent in a 4yr old pair of glasses because I cracked one lens, the rubber on the nose piece was also worn. They replaced the frame for free and I paid for new lenses, was like $118 total. The ones they sent back are the same style (Harpoon). They just seem cheaper, obviously I can't compare side b...

That Aaron is a hell of guy, he called me Saturday confused as to why he won a trophy when he had been bumped by Brent for biggest red kayak division, so I contacted Brent for Aaron to make sure he had the correct trophy and he said Aaron's name had been called for the boater division, so Aaron con...

Yeah, I agree. Looks like gar to me too. Conical teeth or no, those suckers are sharp and they slash sideways with their heads.

Google "alligator gar teeth" images.

Fishing time is 6am. Doesnt say anything about launch time. You can launch anywhere, doesn't have to be Louis. No boundaries. Barbara had posted somewhere that she was going to be pretty busy today setting up so that's probably why you cant reach her. You can stop by and register tomorrow morning 4a...

tournament at Louis Bait Camp Saturday 8/23

I know the word got out to some but I don't think everybody knows about it. I am posting it in the SW forum instead of the tournaments forum because of the short time line. There are kayak, adult (boat/wade), and kids divisions. You can come out and register today, there is a non-mandatory captains ...

Great news! I dont fish down there much but any wonderful semi-wild and natural shoreline that is protected and not developed is wonderful in my opinion.
