Interesting build will be watching. Find 3' wide a bit much especially with your weight. How tall are you?

Re: Minimalist coastal camping from a kayak

Some buddies and I are starting to think about this for the fall. The goal would be to camp on the coast for 3 days and 2 nights primitively, setting out with only what we could carry on our 3-4 kayaks. I'm pretty sure we aren't the only guys to have thought of this, so I figured I'd see what other...

Re: duck brochette

Check out u tube on cutting up a chicken. Quite a number of videos and is the same for a duck. Put all the pieces in the pot, the back and wing tips have very little meat but adds to the flavor and ability to make a gravy. PM your # if you want to talk. Happy to help a young person learn to cook game.

Re: duck brochette

Sounds good. We like em like that also. Try cutting up your ducks. Put some bacon fat or drippings in a cast-iron pot and brown the duck. When browned add seasonings we like Slap Your MAMA and others. Add 1 large diced onion per duck worstershire sauce and drizzle olive oil over the duck. Cook cover...

Re: Rockport/Fulton Oyster Season Postponed!

I just saw on the noon news today that the state has postponed the opening of oyster season by at least a week, due to red tide found in the oysters. That's a real bummer for the Fulton economy and my wife, who really craves oysters. Texas Jim Hi Jim, was there any comment on how long the closure w...

Seriously When you posted; Why is wearing a PFD not required while in a kayak? I know some people would piss and moan about it if it ever became a law but we would have less unfortunate stories like this appearing on the news. YOU made it political and I only replied with my comments. Well I was ser...

SAFETY: I jump on my horse when some one talks about a cheap 360° light. Mythman says; "This incident has renewed my dedication to preach water safety, no matter what the opposition." IMOP that is a good thing, those who chose to not practice, it is their decision and should remain THEIRS....

I have the exact yak, bought a rudder from ACK they install no chg. had center hatch installed. Only problem is with about 300lbs on board water will run into the hatc...
