Jacks are a ton of fun on any size tackle, but lightweight would be an absolute blast... Congratulations!

Re: 2 Alligator Gars kayak fishing (Video)

Great video! I'm wondering two things... what would you do if you hooked into a 6 footer, and how do you keep your 'yak so stable? Doesn't move even slightly when you're jumping all over it...

Great scenics! Looks like you had a blast with those bass. Appears they need to put on the feed bag, which might just mean it's time for a trip down there.

Finally got the new 'yak on the water

Finally got the new 'yak rigged out and on the water, and all was good until even the slightest swell hit it. Then I felt like I was fighting to stay upright until the surface action subsided. Is this normal, and something I need to just get used to, or am I doing something wrong? Thanks a bunch for...

Re: Lake Fork Fishing Report

N2, you have singlehandedly convinced me I made the right decision investing in a kayak, fish finder, waterproof camera, and all the other gear to do it up right. I love Fork almost as much as I do the Rocky Mountains. Have caught lots of fish there from the bank, but the eyes always wondered out to...

Outrageous trip of a lifetime! Should you decide down the road to get really serious about halibut, there is a small lodge in the middle of nowhere you might want to investigate, and ask for Nick... http://icybaylodge.net/

I'll deny it to the end if any of you says a peep... but as hard a push as the industry puts on businesses to get involved in Facebook and Twitter, it seems to be a waste of time to me unless you already have a following. Then again, if you already have a following...

You may want to do a Google search for "portable fish finders". There are lots of options there. Portables are not usually the highest quality, but may be all you need.
