Re: Questions on a kayak
IMO, I think you need to look at what you get for the price. I don't know anything about this kayak, but I think for another $50 more you can get something better (checkout Academy). Also, I think that bay fishing is much easier with a rudder, and a comfortable seat, especially if you are a bigger g...

Re: LHL Aransas Pass TX
Your LHL experience sounds almost exactly like mine 2 weeks ago. Super shallow! Had to drag my yak for awhile, then decided to stay in the channel.
The only difference between my trip and yours is I didn't catch squat. Maybe I should have used leaky waders as well

Re: Father Son Outting
Wow, that could of been a lot worse, glad that you and son came out okay. I was out today with my 8 year old in my tandem Big Tuna and was thinking of "what if?". I know that he would probably freak out as well if something bad were to happen. All we can do is use this as a learning experi...

Kayak launch Peetes Bend, Port bay
I'm confused about launching in this area. It seems that there may be two launch areas, one that enters into copano bay north of rattlesnake rd, and another that launches south of rattlesnake rd into the area of Peetes bend. I want to fish south of rattlesnake rd, but don't want to paddle around the...

Outstanding video. I watched the entire video, never bored. I wouldn't change a thing. Great video, excellent editing, great music.
I like the different camera angles. Keep it up, looking forward to more.

Re: A question about night-fishing lights.
The way I see it is this.... Being cool or thinking that what do are doing is cool is part of it, it's not all about fishing. I know that when I go out in my kayak and get skunked I still have a good time, even though I didn't catch anything. Adding modifications to our kayaks is part of the hobby, ...

Re: Scotty pvc track
I think you need to consider what you are using it for. Camera mount should be okay, but heavier items with more load may require stronger base. I did have a plastic mount once and it broke when I accidentally put pressure on the extension that was attached to it.

Re: Need opinions. Hobie PA 12 or Nucanoe Pursuit
I have a PA12 and fish the flats often. It can be difficult to use this yak in super shallow water, as it is a heavy yak. You do have to either pull out the mirage drive in the flats, or use the bungee to keep the drive flat up against the boat. However, in deeper water or if you have to cross a dee...

Re: DIY Kayak Trailer
It also depends on the width of the kayaks, especially if you want to carry two. I have a proangler 12 and a Big Tuna. I had to mount them on PVC / unistrut and make sure that they fit above the wheel wells. Make sure you consider this. Good decision on 12 inch tires.

Strong work! He may not know that someone called the warden, and if he did figure that out, then maybe he was taught a lesson. I know that if I was in his situation and was approached as being unsafe I would be a bit embarrassed, and maybe think twice next time. You did the right thing. We all need ...
