Re: HELP!! Camera found on Devils!
Sometimes there is an "if found" file on the camera, did you check all the folders? With the internet it is definitely possible to find the guy and kudos to you for trying. I found a guy's GoPro when I was fishing the Guad, made a little video, and found the guy 3 weeks later in West Virgi...

Thwarted, lackluster fishing day - Kimball Bend Park
I was hoping for an amazing fishing time this weekend near Lake Whitney. I was planning on dropping in at Nolan River Park. My father-in-law said that the park is kind of a rough area (or at least used to be), filled with thieves and druggies. Not wanting to get stabbed by some needle on fishing day...

Re: Colorado River Whites???
A buddy of mine went a week or so ago and from the sounds of it, the males are already up that way. People weren't catching a ton like when it is on, but they were indeed catching some.

Re: Anchor trolley systems
Honestly you could get by with buying the pieces separately and spending less money. All you need are a couple of staineless steel pulleys, eyelets, paracord, and a caribeaner. This is the setup I use: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ug64omJYliw I spent probably $30 total and that was with an anchor.

Brazos/Nolan River - need white bass pointers
I get the chance to fish on Saturday, March 4th. I'll be near Lake Whitney at the time so I decided I'd see if the white bass are running. I'll be completely out of my element so I'm hoping to grab some pointers. I am debating launching at either Plowman Creek Park to fish the Brazos or Nolan Creek ...

Blarg, I wish I didn't live so far away from this. It's crazy that they are already running though. Y'all have fun!

Re: What did you tie today?
A buddy and I are hitting up Colorado Bend State Park for the white bass run next month and being the excited school girl that I am, I decided to tie some clousers. We are kayaking from the park toward Buchanan and camping somewhere along the way to head back up the next day. I cannot wait.

Re: Kayak stabilizers/outriggers
It's not so much a concern of fly fishing from sitting position as it is just being able to stand in general from sitting most of the day. The bulk is a concern too. I'd prefer to be able to store them in the hull and pull them out when needed, but I'm no so sure that will be possible. I may just ta...

Re: Comfortable Seat Cushion
I think I plan on using a bleacher seat. I'm hoping that will keep the profile low enough to not throw my center of gravity off too much. I'm thinking about this guy: https://www.amazon.com/Stadium-Cascade-Mountain-Tech-Black/dp/B00EJRKIMA/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1477418451&sr=8-4&keyword...

Kayak stabilizers/outriggers
I am FINALLY picking up my kayak today. I went with a cheaper yak that I plan on modding out like crazy. I do have a question for the experienced. I would like to do some kayak stabilizers/outriggers for it however I just read an article that said it is kind of pointless to use them, anyone care to ...

Re: What did you tie today?
Hit up some tying today. I even tried my hand a Turk's Tarantula. It didn't come out perfectly but I'm satisfied. I can never get legs to do what I want them to do. I love fishing that pattern though and I'm glad I no longer have to purchase that fly.

Re: Solo Camping
It seems I rarely have this problem. Most of the time I'm too exhausted to stay up too late but that's usually from a full day's worth of hiking. On a kayaking trip, I could probably bring more things I wouldn't normally bring. I think if the boredom was starting to creep up, I'd probably have a boo...

Yeah I figured it may be a stretch. I'm just worried about that Texas sun blazing down on it, but surely a standard cooler will keep for the day. I suppose I can keep some backup ice in the vehicle just in case.

I absolutely love making fly poppers. This one is one of my favorites. Can't wait to get the hogs going top water.

First timer here
I've decided to finally pull the trigger and purchase a kayak. As soon as I finish making my roof rack, I plan on getting myself a Wilderness Systems Tarpon 100 within the next week or two. I just thought I'd hop on here to meet new people. I'd love to partake in any overnight camping trips if there...
