I have built 14 of Jems designs and they rock ,plus Matt will work with you any way he can. I am sorry but I cant give any advice on a sot all my boats have been pretty open cockpit sink (sit inside). One thing you might consider is the longer your boat the more stable it will be and ease of paddlin...

I remember them being stocked in Trading house. That winter was a cold one and they stopped generating while they made some repairs to the plant. Talking to some game wardens they didnt think any survived that first winter.

I have been lucky and in my life had the opportunity to take some awesome bucks. Now I like to take freaky bucks .

My findings were similar to rbr , if I just taped the edges and coat the wood with resin they had a short life. If the luan was covered inside and out with cloth they held up well.
Using strips is stronger lighter and much more durable than ply.

Texan Congratulations ,You will never forget your first deer with a bow. I had a shoulder injury this year so no bow hunting. This thing is scary accurate ,but it isnt as much fun to me as the regular bows. It will get me in the stand so I guess it is all good.

Use epoxy for glue and also to lay on cloth.

I am getting old and beat up. My shoulder want let me pull a bow for a while. I just couldnt stand it bought a Barnett Ghost 360 today. Be my first time with a cross bow.
