Trout Support Reef Recon?

Post by 1texasaggie »

Apologies if previously covered, but curious if Tobin has indicated when a Humminbird version will be available?

Also curious if "firmware" updates will be made available as the bay systems change?

Specifically, Rollover's imminent foreclosure will (presumably) drastically change East Bay's reef systems and wanted to know if this will be updated / made available to Reef Recon owners?

Working on a Humming / Ray / Garmin file as we speak. Hoping to have finished sometime in March. May or may not make it by fishing show.

Yes as time goes on and big events change the reefs I'll update it. The closure of rollover will be very good to east bays oysters.

What GPS units are all ya'll using on kayaks?

Ok, awesome. That's a good little unit.

How many of you are using little small Garmin Chartplotters or Small lowrance chartplotters? I used a hand held Garmin GPS for years and years, I still use it while wading today, anyone using a hand held Garmin GPS?

My friend is using handheld unit. Not sure if it is Garmin, though.

Yeah I have a 78 that I use for wading and for deer hunting. Hopefully never on the same trip ;-)

Hah that would be a pretty tiring cast and blast. I take mine hunting too but don't really need it sitting in a deer stand.

I have plans for it next year with image overlays for Turkey hunting though :)

What other GPS / Chartplotters Units (Brand and Model) are you guys using on your yaks. I pretty much use my handheld when I'm not in the power boat.

Just a friendly nudge to the top, and to keep you working toward an Android / Google Earth / Google Maps version. And maybe an I-Phone version.

Smart phones are so common, and are displacing dedicated GPS units for a lot of us.
