Took the plunge and bought a used Hobie PA14. I have taken her out a few times around the Austin area and caught some largemouth but I am wanting to head to the coast and try the bays for some trout and reds. I was going to be in the Rockport / Aransas Pass area in June and was hoping for some help on where to put in where a coastal rookie might have a good chance of catching a few.
Not looking for your favorite secret spots, I am willing to put in my time to find my spots but was hoping to at least get some hints on good launch points that I could put in and do some casting, learning and hopefully catching. I am an artificial guy and I fish both soft plastic and hardbaits for the freshwater stuff and I figure I would do the same for the salt.
