Micro power pole mount

I’m getting a micro power pole for my trident 15, does anyone already have this mounted on their kayak? What mounting plate did you use ? I think I’m going to have to make my own plate from HDPE 1/4”- 1/2” plate. Mount that at the rear of the kayak near the handle . Any recommendations you’ll have or thoughts on the surface area needed to support the power pole unit.
