Galveston Jetty fishing for Sheepshead | Video Link

Ok after getting skunked a few times in West Bay I wanted to change it up a little bit, and I was invited to do a little fishing that I've never tried before. Fish the jetties from a boat with live shrimp to target sheepshead. Now, I've rock fished jetties plenty of time, fished with shrimp plenty, and I've caught a lot of sheepshead over the years but never targeted them from a boat. Now if you like go fighting fish sheepshead are that. I was gifted a few reels by Academy, so I thought it would be a great chance to test one out there. I tested the H2O Xpress Tac-40 baitcast w/a Bone Daddy rod and boy did it perform well. I also tested a KastKing setup, Sharky lll spinning reel with a Speed Demon Shakey Head rod- which also performed great. I was accompanied by Billy Ray Wagner from Saltwater Soul and Capt. Cody Dunn from Sea Star Base Galveston, and boy did we hammer some fish. We caught over our limits in sheepshead, keeping 13, and they caught a few nice reds.
