The winds were strong in Galveston so I went further down the coast to Freeport just to find strong winds there as well. Weather apps were off by 5 mph, but I knew that might be the case- so I stopped and picked up some live shrimp. The tide was low as well, during low tides I always like to scout around a little. You can find all sorts of structures, oyster reefs, and drop offs that you had no idea that were there. I use my phone's google map to pin mark those areas so I can fish them later when the water level goes back to normal. Also I like to hit deeper holes, with the idea to find some fish stacked up. On this day I found a few stacked up, it wasn't the best fishing trip ever but I still had a good time.
