Advice for McFaddin NWR

I'm still learning the ropes for kayak fishing and I've had my fill of the Galveston state park and "the lagoon", not to mention how to quarantine is effecting everything, so I'm eyeing the McFaddin National Wildlife Refugee. On Google maps it looks nice but is that the case? I'd like to be able to bag some fresh fish but I don't know if that's legal in a NWR
