I just got a new to me Nucanoe F12 with an outboard. I want to take it out for fly fishing near Galveston/Freeport. Any recommendations on locations? Not trying to steal you secret spot but I’m trying to learn how to do this.

Fly fishing Galveston
Re: Fly fishing Galveston
I might suggest the marshes near Bayou Vista launching from Louies Baitcamp ($6 fee). Go south and fish the marshes above and below the railroad bridge (be careful the crossing is too low for rods stored in rod holders). I fly fished this area today and caught two reds on a shrimp pattern. Also got a very nice flounder using a paddletail right near the bridge.
Re: Fly fishing Galveston
Thanks for the help, I’ve never fished there.
