Liberty County

I have a business in Liberty County, and just recently bought a Tandem Kayak so I can get the 9 year old daughter on the water. I have to get the kayak back to Liberty today, and was thinking about making a short trip somewhere in the area. I am not opposed to going up to the south side of Lake Livingston, but was intending to stay a bit closer to Highway 90.
Do you guys have any suggestions on areas to fish or just paddle? Thanks
