"Bassin' With a Fly Rod" Question

Does anybody know if Jack Ellis, the author of "Bassin' With a Fly Rod" is still around? I live in the area he talks about in his book and would love to meet him.

The only thing I could find online was that he lives in Texas. By that I would assume he is still around. You might try contacting his publisher.
