Panfish on nymphs

Post by Kayak buddy »

Who likes to nymph for panfish? It's fun also throwing foam spiders. I couldn't get the bass to bite.

Yep I like nymphing for panfish. A #8 or #10 girdle bug behind a spider or popper is deadly stuff. Growing up in Virginia it was a staple in the spring. Great video.

I tried that. I did a nymph with a dropper in the deeper pools with an indicator. In this area with shallower water the rig you mentioned would have been a nightmare with algae hung ups. I threw a spider in the openings and they nailed it.
