Anyone know of some good videos or books(besides Texas Saltwater Classics) on fly tying? I saw a place online that had a couple of videos by Lefty Kreh and Bob Clouser, has anyone seen these videos? Opinions? I was thinking about buying these if they're any good.

How about Roy Williams book, Getting Hooked On The Flats - Texas Style? http://flyrodders.net/rockportnaturally/rw-book.html I've heard it is good, but I haven't read it.

Take a look at the Bass Pro Series

I am not sure how the saltwater version but the "How to tie bass flies effectively had some great closeup and good tips. And at $10 a video, it is hard to beat.

Now anyone know of a rod making video on DVD???

I've got both of the Lefty/Bob videoes. That's how I got started. There are a lot of good tips that will shave the peak off your learning curve. Well worth the price in my opinion.

The "Hooked on Fly Tying" series produced by Jim and Kelly Watt are good and relatively inexpensive.

Anyone know where to get the Roy Williams book in Austin or Houston? I looked a little online, but didn't find a place to purchase it.

Check with Capt'n Sally in Rockport. She handles the book and if you happen to be down there some Saturday check in with her because Dr. Roy spends a lot of time tying his patterns. Truely interseting gentleman.
