Off topic, computer not marking threads as read#2288120

I have been trying to read all threads which I have not read, and have picked up tons of information I was not particularly looking for. However, my computer or the site is not marking threads as read any longer. Suggestions, please. :?:

Try logging out and logging back into the site. Check the stay logged in box.
Use the "Forum" drop down list above and click on "unread posts" once you have read all you want go to the main forum page and then under "Forums" again, "mark forums read". This way you can just go to unread posts at the top and then after reading "mark forums read.
