I was out in my Hobie Island on Aransas bay and heard the US Coast Guard and CCFD communicating on the VHF regarding the search for a kayaker spotted in the water next to a yellow kayak.
Carry a marine radio and some signal flares, and make sure you are able to climb back into your yak!

LOL! "No idea how they got out so far" They obviously haven't met some of us BTB folk. It's nothing to do over 10 miles (or 20 in Glenn's case!)
Re: Bob Hall Kayakers rescued 9/1/2019
Paddling sea side of the islands without proper preparation what were they thinking????? I know I am not in shape enough to paddle 10 miles nevermind 20 miles as Glenn does! However, I am working to get in shape to be able to paddle that with the proper gear.
for all doing the rigs, be safe, keep the lines tight and enjoy your paddles/pedals both out and back.
