High Island BTB Saturday the 18th - Report

Post by bigfost »

It was a good day, despite being condiderably windier and rougher than forecast. Last I counted, there were 8 kayaks on the water and I think everyone caught fish.

I ended the day with 8 bull reds and 3 sharks to 5 feet. At least 2 others I know had similar counts.

Fla-fish, wow, that's a blast from the past.

Yes, Steve, technically you need a beach pass, but I don't know if anyone checks them where we will be. Sea Pony in Winnie should have them. $10. That's where most of us buy bait, too. See you there. I'll be down at 7 or earlier. Red Tacoma and PA 14.

I have a used FnD I picked up for 400 but it has No hatches at all. I ordered them and got them in. Ordering everything online is a trip. Just got some 12/0 & 13/0 circle hooks and they are a joke smaller than my little finger curled up. I have still to makeup leaders but will pbly come down & play in the surf a bit and see...
