My first Kayakfoundry build

Post by awoodman »

What inspired this was meeting up ,a couple of weeks ago, with a group of paddlers who meet weekly to paddle about 6 miles in their (up to 3 thousand dollar boats) so I wanted something multi chined. Another SOF...
The result a 17' X22'' with lowered sheer line for wind resistance. We paddle into the wind the first half which is good exercise, the most I have ever paddled at one time, because I'm usually just fishing from my boats....
And yes I'm out of my boat building mind and I need to burn out

On the combing.. the nails temporarily hold the fabric in place..pull each one at a time ,fold the fabric in... and re-insert the nail...then start sewing...
