Homebuilt Wooden Boat ... Winter Project!

So last fall i descided to build my own wooden boat ... a 14 foot skiff ... its been a year and i have taken my time on it! Here is a short video slideshow of it from start to finish... BY NO means am i a pro but just a kid who loves the water and wife wouldnt let me buy a boat ... So i built one! i should have it finished by spring ready for some fishing!

Well done! Nice clean lines. You will, no doubt, enjoy the heck out of it. Nothing better than fishing in something that you built.... or at least worked on some yourself.

Presume you used some plans. I built a dory some 20 years ago. Amazing, it floated.

Hey yes i had some basic plans from the net but i took them (pdf file) to a friend who is an architech and she was able to correct a few drafting mistakes and give all measurements and angles which made the build so much more easy! on top of that she printed 3'x3' blue prints to make it easy to read!
