What us old guys do in the winter

Post by preacher »

Been a little too cold, rainy, snowy, windy and uncomfortable for me the last few weeks or so, so I pulled out those last few reels that needed attention. BTW this red one is Mrs. preacher's reel, she chooses mainly by whats pretty and matches her rod:) Haven't been able to do what was needed since the last trip to the salt was the time I had the stroke, so the reels we took were pretty nasty.

Before that I decided to get the lead out and jig things up a little, of course with some spinnerbaits, buzzbaits and tail spinners also.

Never hurts to keep your arsenal well stocked and there is a lot more satisfaction when you build the lure that catches the fish.

Then I decided I needed another spare to stow in the hatch for emergency situations.

It's only a 30" paddle but it is better than your hand and it does work.
