Great job, beautiful board. Surprised to find another wordworker on tkf. I design most of my own solid wood furniture using sketchup. Before I bought my kayak, I considered building a foldable WWII MkII style.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I really enjoyed putting my own spin on the final design.
I learned a lot from building this, and have some ideas for tackling different parts of this project.
I see how this stuff is addicting. I Already have ideas for modifying the plans to make a wider, longer poling skiff that can have a small motor attached. Why buy something when you can build it? Right?

Found a nice and inexpensive seat to try out on those breezy days, when standing up and paddling into the wind isn't an option.
Sat in it at the store, and the back didn't feel like it leans too far back. Going to rig it up, and try it on my next outing.

Yes sir. It is my '93 turbocharged money pit. Mostly stock other than intake, exhaust, and coilovers.
Still looking for stock wheels, but they are hard to find in good condition.

I had a 1986 MR2. I did an engine swap and the battery exploded and caught on fire when I tried to crank it. One day I may get me another.
