Stunning Pirogue

Master boat-builder Faren Serrette with a pirogue he made from a cypress tree cut down 150 years ago and pulled from the swamp in 2007 and milled by author and photographer Greg Guirard. Both men donated their labors so the Atchafalaya Basinkeeper can auction this instant heirloom to help keep Basinkeeper Dean Wilson at his important job. Email bids to basinkeeper@gmail.com.
