Guys, is it possible to fix or improve situation on picture below and how? This is the bow of my kayak (Maliby Stealth 14') that spot is so thing now that you press with your finger and it gives way a bit. I call it "some oyster rash"...

Were you able to repair?

Put KeelEazy, or equivalent, on the outside.

Edit: skid plate is the term I was trying to remember.

Edit #2: Might also apply material inside, also, if outside not enough for you peace of mind.

I approached it from the different angle -- bought Pescador Sport 12' off craigslist. It is 5 times easier to paddle and has only two parts to deal with -- yak and paddle. It also trivially fits my truck bed. My launch time went down to 5 mins. I am using old yak now only if I take friend with me.

Spoke to Malibu representative -- he suggested to get few sticks of plastic from them and weld them inside and on outside of worn out area. I might do it someday...

Watched a video on YouTube of a guy doing this same thing. He used plastic from a milk carton as well and it worked! Take your time if you do weld it to be able to sell it later.
