2015 Cuda 12 for camping?

Post by Cruisin_Cuda »

I'm betting it's going to be a little bit, but I've been looking at the new 2015 cuda 12's for mainly freshwater fishing (small water and river camping). Every now and then the marsh might grace it with her salt, but it's a 2% decision factor. Does anybody have one yet and have any experience camping from them? I have had and loved the cuda 14 for camping because of the huge front hatch! What i didn't love was the weight! the main concern for me on the 12 is the small hatches front and back going from the huge front hatch of the 14 but the only items that i couldn't fit through the 12's hatch is the tent and sleeping bag, but i'm betting they could be squeezed in the middle rectangle hatch. just wanting to hear any good/bad that anybody might have experienced with them older or new.

The Cuda 12 is only 5 or 6 lbs lighter than the 14'. If that's your only concern there, I'd stick with the 14. Maybe check out the new Cuda 12 LT? I read it's supposed to be under 60 lbs with the seat.

i looked at the LT but don't want to pay the money for it! the weight isn't the only issue, but mainly storing it space wise, and unloading/loading is just a lot more awkward. i may end up with another 14 but thought i'd give the 12 a good look before doing that.

The coosa hd would have to be worlds better than the original. I had the original and was not a fan and didn't have it for long.
