Myself and a couple of friends are planning to run the entire 60 miles of the lower Pecos from Pandale. We are not new to kayak camping but are new to the Pecos besides this forum. Any and all suggestions in regards to shuttle services, gear, tips, etc would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Emilio Hinojosa in Comstock (830-317-0760) is the man when it comes to the shuttle plan.

90cfm is the minimum you want to do it. 125cfm and you won't have to paddle. 250cfm and you better have some experience. My cousin did at 50 cfm, and where dragging their boats the whole way.

I know. That's why we picked may. It's on average the wettest month so we're hoping for some rain but not flash floods. That's not too much to ask!

Which gauge do you reference? Pandale or Langtry?
