Crunch

Post by Alsatian »

To make a long story short, a semi backed into my truck destroying my fender and jacked up the bed pretty good also. So I'm getting estimates on Monday for repairs, but I'm also looking at getting a flatbed instead. What say you?

If bed is bent go with a flat bed unless u use the bed more. There r some cons to a flatbed.

Good luck

Update: Cost to repair bed was around $3800. Cost of a new flatbed, installed, $3100 and change. I went with the flatbed. It sure makes hooking up to a gooseneck trailer a whole lot easier. I can do everything while standing on the ground, no more climbing in the bed. The flatbed also gives you a lot of real estate for hauling whatever you need, like kayaks. I can probably carry 3-4 kayaks side by side fairly easily.
