Welcome, Bass Fishermen!

Post by TKFStubb »

We are now starting our long-overdue Bass Fishing forum. As my inaugural post I will tell about a great little event I went to lat evening on Luces Bayou with a half dozen other TKFers. Tough fishing, but lots of fun! That's a beautiful area to fish and we found some great Mexican food at Los Compadres, in Huffman, too. I hope y'all will stay tuned to see when and where the next one will be.
You are welcome to post about all things Bass Fishing, but try to stay on subject...there are lots of other places for other topics.

What a great idea Tom. This are will certainly be a huge hit for the kayak fishing community. And thanks so much Mariner Sails sponsoring the area.

By no choice of my own, this pretty much applies to me because of location.

One day God willing I will return to the coast, to fish & explore where my Heart & Soul have Always been!

This is awesome! Nice to see more bass fishing on TKF.

Cliff, that monster bass is awesome! Did you even know you caught it? Never had one that small...

And here's a 6.5# bass I caught at a lake north of Dallas - on a 7', 3-wt fly rod while fishing for bream.

And the story to go along with it. http://texasflycaster.com/something-sme ... -not-fish/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Now that would be a blast. I have recently picked up fly fishing and now have the combo to catch bass. I have yet to connect up with anything that size though. That had to be fun!

I like to look at the little ones. Cool to see all the colors and detail in something so small.

I'd be interested in joining in if it's on a weekend. I can't do during the week. I grew up fishing Luces Bayou with my dad. We have caught lots and lots of fish out of there that was back when Stranges Marina was still open.
