San Marcos riv

Post by t100 »

Got off a little early today and hit the river for a few hours. Pulled in a few bass and a handful of small sunfish. Decided to throw a crank bait for a change and only had tiny sunfish for takers. Funny how those little dudes will take on something that's half their size.

We hit sculls this morning. Picked up two bass and three sunfish. Not bad for a quick three hour trip.

I notice the same thing Jason, the Longears and Bluegills will try to eat something that won't even fit in their mouths. I haven't hit the SMR in a few months and was wondering how the water is right now?

Nice bass! +10 for The Texas Hooksetters. I went out to Martindale yesterday for a couple hours and landed a few bass and sunfish on the fly rod, but no bass were over 16". I put a few points on the board last week though. I'll be hitting the river somewhere this weekend.

Id submit the first pic. You can read the #'s on the hog trough, and its way over the 16" cutoff. Ive seen more than one foggy picture submitted (It happens on the water). It seems to only becomes an issue if the numbers are illegible or the species unidentifiable.
