Canyon Lake Bass Fishing

I'm going to be spending the weekend in Canyon Lake and the wife and I are bringing the kayaks. I was wondering if anybody and any good info on where to put the kayaks in and any advice on lure selection would be appreciated, I've never fished there and only fish saltwater. Thanks!

Canyon Lake can be real tough from my experience. You should go trout fishing on the river instead.
