Decided to make a trip to San Martin Lake off of Hwy 48. The day started of a little rough. First off, I forgot my cap, so I knew I was in for a long day with this Texas heat. Then, one of my rods constantly kept getting wind knots. At one point I lost my landing net, which I recovered later floating around. I've learned throughout the years that this is part of fishing and I try not to let these things bother me. Anyways, it took me a bit to figure out what the fish wanted and the presentation. I ended up with a slot red and my PB snook, which made the long paddle worth the while. Both fish were sight casted to using gold spoons. I attached a link to the video I hope you all enjoy. God Bless!

That's a really nice snook for Texas.. Never seen one with the orange coloring behind the gills.. In Florida we'd do well under the lites where they're waiting for an easy meal as the baitfish arrive. Dock lites--- bridge fenders were hotspots and can be a frenzy on incoming tides.. WTG
