Basford bayou 10/10
I wanted to get out there before the first cold front. Since Thursday was windy I decided to hit a protected marsh. My fishing bud and I launched at 8am. I see bait jumping for its life near a bridge, I make a few casts, no hits. I move to a grass line n start casting, first hit, flounder, nice n fat. I cast to a drain and hook up with a second flat boy. I should have stayed there and explored, but I move to an area I've caught fish before. Well no more hits for the rest of the morning. Never leave fish to catch fish. The sun was bright n the wind 15mph, after 12pm it's a grind, but we continue. Finally I hook up again, 2 undersized flounder back to back, that was a wrap. No reds or specks in the flooded marsh. Off the water at 3pm. Catch of the day, blackened flounder, yummy!! Looking forward to the next trip. All flounder were caught on chicken boy lures, thanks to Ruben, Texas All Water fishing.

always say a 16" spec is the best fillet the coast offers, next to flounder
