The title says it all.
I thought there might be a pre-storm bite so ventured out this morning. The surf looked decent but not great. A little choppy and a little sandy but I guess because I am used to the Galveston surf I thought there might be a king, a jack, a something. I was wrong. I trolled a couple of ribbon fish out to the stand pipe, around the stand pipe, in front of, beside, behind, and nothing. I saw a lone sea turtle. I did hear what sounded like a missed strike, but that was about it. I was out and back in three hours.
Maybe I'll hit something inshore this evening or the lights tonight.

The bite was pretty good on Thursday. Flat/clear water. Bay boats all over Bob Hall. You missed it by a day.

Mike, thanks for heading out in those foreign Corpus waters and reporting to us. It's often hard to catch decent fish in new shoreline locations.
Let us know how it goes if you head out tonight or tomorrow morning. Your predicted winds are very light (under 10 mph!) for Corpus Christi, but watch out for 60% rain odds at sunrise tomorrow.
