Seat Comparision

Post by bowgarguide »

Darrel has a folding padded bass seat in his boat and talked about how comfortable it was, so I went and bought one ,rigged it on the folding base.
Yesterday Glenn used it on the trip to the river in my Perow. When we went fishing today I tried it.
Glen loved it said it was very comfortable, today when I tried it my hip was hurting in an hour
just doesnt fit my boney backside, also I like the higher backrest of my fiberglass seat.
I guess Glen has a seat for the perow.
Someone use to make a padded cover for a fiberglass boat seat ,does anyone know where I could find one?

Ron--I don't know if any of these would help you.

Seats are always a problem in small craft. I"m going to be using some of these and also adapt some of the GTS and Outfitter seats for use in the boats.

I have not found anything as comfortable as the seat in my Native Ultimate 14.5. Maybe you could figure out how to get one and mount it in your ride?

I haven't seen one of those covers in years. Something else you might look at if you aren't concerned about weight, and added cost isn't an issue is these

I looked at them pretty hard but wasn't willing to pay the price....yet. Who knows what the future might hold though. Also when I was seat shopping I hadn't decided whether I was going to mount it or make it removable. If it was mounted I wouldn't want to deal with the added weight, but if I stick with removable I may upgrade in the future

I guess I should add this note,I find that paddling I stay more comfortable than fishing out of the boat. I guess I am moving more.
Zeke I will keep my seats movable because on the river we get out and bank fish, sure is nice then.
