Not home made, but works for me. Haul three hobies. 2 SUV on bottom and one i9s on top in the middle.

5 x 10 Utility trailer conversion: I bolted the racks on so I can carry motorcycles and other stuff as well. Dog not included.

Here is my trailer. Started with a galvanized sail boat trailer I found on Craigslist for $100. I framed it with 1 inch uni strut base, 2x2 aluminum angle. All bolted together with stainless steel bolts & nuts. I used ¾” treated plywood bottom and ½” on the sides and top. Rack was an old cab-over that was sitting in the storage yard at work for two years. Trimmed it out with 1”x1” aluminum on the top edged and painted it black.

All built from excess materials from the office except for the plywood and some stainless wood screws, Additional cost were new tires\wheels and a set of LED lights from Northern Tool. I loaded it down with fishing\camping gear, two kayaks and misc. items. We pulled it to Kentucky & back over the 4th of July. Tows like a dream! Have many ideas to be added, fresh water shower, rod drawer and slide out kitchen just to name a few. Have a killer logo I plan to airbrush on the sides to finish it off. Work in progress but I LOVE IT SO FAR! I will post up more pictures once I get it completed.

Here's my ugly trailer. I started life as jet-ski trailer. I stole the ideas from 4x4forever.

I saw it in Corpus on the Road and I took a pic while driving. I was wondering what the deal was with all the yaks for a&m

This has been working for us pretty well. Just wish we had a metal cage to hold paddles and rods.

My Dad and I built this one several years ago. There was a lot of time, steel and grinding wheels (and grinders  ) that went into this one. It is a utility trailer first but works well as a yak hauler also. It will haul dirt or rocks, a 4x4 .. pull one bolt to tilt. I can configure it to haul several more yaks when needed.

Just got mine ready to roll, still a lot left to be done (add AC and DC aux power system, live well, rod tubes, etc.) Will haul 2-3 yaks on top, and one smaller one could fit in cargo area until the power system and live well goes in.

It's 6'x3' and rides on 35x17x12.5 tires (same as the jeep, and sits at the same height). Pulls like it's not even there. The tounge is adjustable by 2.5', for different length 'yaks.

Had a friend do the design and fab, and I've been adding the finishing touches.
