Clear Cure Goo New Product
Clear Cure Goo Thin Squeeze Bottle
15 Ml of Clear Cure Goo Thin are inside this bottle. Based on customer feedback some people have said they prefer a squeeze bottle over a syringe. The squeeze bottle has a much shorter learning curve on how you apply the material compared to the syringe, where you have to draw back the syringe to relieve the pressure in the barrel.
You may use any of the accessory tips with this bottle.
The bottle is refillible with the Clear Cure Goo Thin, Tack Free, and Brushable. Do NOT refill with any of the Flex products.
Look for refill bottle to be available in the next month.
$ 15.50
Clear Cure Goo is a GREAT VALUE... Think about how much Saltwater Flies cost at a fly shop.... 5 dollars to 7 dollars or more. You can make at least 30 2/0 Surf Candies with one 10mm syringe. 30 flies x 5 dollars equals $150. As you can see the savings in time in using a product that cures hard in 3-5 seconds add that to the savings you get by tying your own flies you can see how valuable Clear Cure Goo can be. Once you purchase the kit, you will only be buying syringes. The light uses 3AAA batteries and will last you well over 150 flies before you notice any lag time in the curing process.
We think once you have had the opportunity to use Clear Cure Goo for all your fly tying needs you will never go back to epoxy. Hope that answers most of your questions.

Re: Clear Cure Goo New Product
That looks like it'll be pretty handy. I'm running low on the brushable Four dozen rattle flies and heads on a few dozen others will do that. I did finally use the thick last night building up some heads on some shark flies. Worked very well for that b/c I needed more time to get the Goo on the whole fly and the thin wanted to drip too fast.

Re: Clear Cure Goo New Product
I have found that making several small applications are better then 1 complete application. It will cure better. I have also found that putting the goo on plastic then using a toothpick works well also. keeps from having the goo running out of the syringe.
Re: Clear Cure Goo New Product
I just gooped it on and spread it around with a brush and bodkin. It all worked out...and they'll be trashed after one or two sharks anyway so pretty wasn't really a goal. I'm hoping that the CCG will get them to last through three or four sharks. That'll be a solid test.

Re: Clear Cure Goo New Product
best he mails a money order
Re: Clear Cure Goo New Product
I can vouch for him. You can take a check. He's a lil off center cause he hangs out with Barry, but still a decent guy despite that character flaw.

Re: Clear Cure Goo New Product
I watched Let's Go tie some silly fly he invented at the TFF tie flying event. That sold me on this ccg stuff. I purchased the thick and a light at the event and have been tying flies with it ever since the cold weather moved in. I will complete the full package when I next stop by CM's shop.
The squeeze tube is a great idea as the syringe can be awkward for certain applications. This stuff is the greatest invention since sliced bread. I've used it exclusively as a knot protector, insect wing, silly leg attachment, etc., etc.

I've been finding all kinds of uses for it. It's sort of turning into a crutch though. The other night I was having a hard time getting a couple hackles to line up the way I wanted them. I lightly touched the bases with CCG, held them in place and zapped em with the light. I've done the same thing with stick-on eyes that wouldn't stay stuck as well as a few other things that felt like cheating. It's awesome to be able to move things around until they're just right and then be able to stick it solid in seconds. In the past it was super-glue (too quick so you better get it right) or epoxy (too slow and things moved before they set). The other big plus over super-glue...I've yet to glue my fingers together or to anything else.

I think I'm going to go back to my nap now. (LMAO)
Re: Clear Cure Goo New Product
You really need to check in between naps more often. Miss having your cheery self around here.
BTW, I've got a new poling skiff headed this way in a month or so. You need to slide south for a couple days on the bow. I could use the entertainment.

Scott
Thanks for the kind words!
I haven't been very active on any of the Boards that I monitored in the past since Edie got sick. After what she's been going through, I just lost interest in them. It's also put a hell of a dent in my fishing.
I heard that you had ordered the new Skiff. IMO, you make a good choice as they're a hell of a good boat. If you haven't ordered a poling platform for it, let me know. I'm thinking that I'm going to change the one on my Gheenoe LT to a smaller one.
I'd love to spend a couple of days on the bow of your new boat. If for no other reason, to show you how to check the sharpness of your hooks! (LMAO)
Are you still working as a Rep?

Re: Clear Cure Goo New Product
Say Scott watch he will get you on the water and get lost. I know it happen to me a few week ago.(lol)
Re: Clear Cure Goo New Product
Still doing the rep thing, but plan on making guiding a bigger part of the picture this year.
The sharp hook incident is exactly what I was talking about regarding the entertainment. Perhaps the funniest moment ever on my boat.
Hope Edie is doing well.
Cody - we don't get lost b/c I don't let him drive the boat.

Scott, that is what was bad we were in my boat and I was the driver. He said he knew the lake. and what made so bad no map no gps no gas and all along in the middle of no where with Barry. I was scared, may have been flash backs of what you said about him looking like a bull frog
Re: Clear Cure Goo New Product
Take a look at the underlined parts of Cody's statement. That ought to show you who got who lost. The "boy" is like a reverse Boy Scout. He's never prepared for anything! (LMAO) I will say this about the trip,"we were so far back in the boonies, that I heard banjos playing. In fact Cody was playing it!cody wrote:Scott, that is what was bad we were in my boat and I was the driver. Scott, I laugh every time I think about the coming out of the shower with you in the room and the sharp hook incident. Hell I'm laughing now!
When you get a chance, send me a phone number that I can contact you at.
