Still need to glass the frame to the hull, that will be fun

Super near fillets (the holy grail of S&G)

Got plenty of that to do when I flip the sailboat (not as easy as a kayak  )

Like the way your capping the gunnels with the deck extentions to.

AyJay, I was somewhat inspired by your sabalo. Thats one sharp looking boat! Building one of these is quite an ordeal, lots of parts and pieces to fit together. I have been making a strong push to get this boat fully assembled and get to the finish work. I'm almost there :D

Image
Image
Glassed the under side of the cockpit the other day, also glassed the underside of the tank well and decks. Oh yea, I also glassed the frame to the hull!!!

Image
This just felt strange cutting holes in the bottom of the boat.

Image
Made a pretty big mistake here. Glued the rear deck on upside down! Now the underside is bare wood

Image
Getting really close! Just a few more pieces to glue on. It was hard to make myself stop and plan out the internal bracing and stiffener for all the accessories. But I did. Took pics and documented measurements for all that stuff.

LOL before I get ahead of myself there is still some more glass work to do, I guess I am just prepping myself for the...........sanding

Darn good looking boat..make you want to hang up the paddle boards?

Looks like you will be needing to graphite the bottom pretty soon..

My thought to, hate to cover wood up but it's the way to go.

Good to see you out and using that good looking boat, and sliming her to, well done sir.

Ok guys I will order some graphite for the bottom of this thing. In fact might as well get enough for all the boats.

HG, that seat is working out good. I just mounted it in the boat yesterday, going to give it a test this evening.

Seat mounted, homemade foot pegs, and some handles to help carry it with one hand.

Oh look! I just happened to have a birds mouth paddle shaft already build from last year. That will save some time!
