TKF presents the 5.5th Annual Paddle Safety Class
TKF presents the 5.5th Annual Paddle Safety Class
EDIT - Class is full for Saturday.
TKF is proud to present the 5.5th Annual Paddling/ Safety 101. Paddle and safety techniques for kayak fisherman.
This class will be taught by ACA certified instructors. This will be the ACA Intro to Kayaking Class with some extra emphasis on deep water recovery! Yes... you will get wet! This class is ideal for new kayak fisherman, and experienced kayak fisherman who want to learn to paddle more efficiently and hone their other on-the-water skills.
Class size will be strictly limited to 10 participants per day. If the Saturday class fills we will add a Sunday class too.
DATE: Saturday June 22
TIME: 9 am to 4:00pm
PLACE: Slowride's - 821 S Commercial St Aransas Pass, TX
Instructors:
Jeff Herman - Jackson Kayak Pro Staff,
Rick Spillman - Team Ocean Kayak
All instructors are ACA certified.
We are happy to announce that version 5.5 of the class will be hosted by Slowride's Guide Service. http://www.slowrideguide.com/
Class will be at the shack starting promptly at 9:00am.
Fee: $25.00 per person
Payment via Paypal. Please send me a PM for the account info or address. You will not be added to the sign up list until payment is received.
Due to problems in the past we will not issue refunds for those that have to cancel after signing up. (I'm not trying to be a butt about that...just pragmatic. I spent a few too many hours one year arranging refunds etc.)
Please note any additional proceeds after expenses will benefit a 5013C charity!
If you need to cancel after paying, please post on the board and try to find someone to fill your spot. You will be 100% responsible for arranging payment with that person for a refund.
All participants must bring their own kayak, paddle, pfd, lunch, towel, and change of clothes. TKF will provide drinks and snacks. We will have some great door prizes for the participants too!
First come first serve.
Cheers Ya'll!

Having previously taken this course I guarantee you that it is far better than the cheap price requested.
IMHO, every BTB fisherman should complete this course.

Everyone should take this course. The reentry section of the class alone is worth way more than the fee . To top it off you'll have fun too.

Re: TKF presents the 5.5th Annual Paddle Safety Class
Invaluable class.
Took it at Cold Pass and learned some great paddling skills and techniques, valuable information on things to have on your yak and self for safety and one great thing took away was working on deep water reentry skill and also backup in case my butt can't get back in the normal way so I carry the things learned from this class to get me back on my yak in no time. It was a little out of pocket expense from ACK but gives me much more safe feeling in my yak.
