Cold lubbock bass

Post by nmYAK4fish »

So I have been struggling to catch a bass ever since it snowed here in lubbock, a few weeks ago. The water temp has been hovering around the mid 40's and I fished deep shallow and deep again without a bite. So today I put down everything I'd had been throwing and tied on a old fashioned bomber flat A. And I'm glad I did, I ended up catching 5 fish on it and one was a 6lber! I also caught a decent 3lber and the rest were 13-14"s. Here are some pics.. First two are of the 3lb.........Oh yeah the lake was conquistador lake! Water temp was 47* caught all fish in about 5ft of water around concrete!

It was, I've been skunked that last 4 or 5 times out, now I have a couple of little spots I can get a bite or two! Super stoked to go back!

The summer/fall is pretty good here in lubbock, it can be a pitching/flipping paradise!

Its been a while since this post but I just got around to editing the video from that day.
heres the link to the vid http://youtu.be/iTnr-lBtgmQ?list=UUtQv8 ... 0CKik_p2g/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I'm not sure why I can't get the embed to work?
