Re: New Viking
I'm jealous. My reload isn't supposed to arrive for another few weeks. I guess in reality everything is frozen solid here, but I want to be able to rig it and then stare at it in the garage.
Re: New Viking
Im keen on the Viking reloads myself
But my favourite kayak for Australian offshore conditions which ison my shopping list is the stealth kayaks out of South Africa.
Getting back on the Vikings they are very popular in Australia and have seen a series of demonstration days organised all the ways down the east coast with news being circulated on the various kayak fishing media sites
The Viking Reload is a fantastic design and I love the shape design
Kiwis do a few things right
Cheers

Re: New Viking
Welcome to the cult. Next to Hobie owners, we have the strongest and most cult like following.
I went from an OK T-15 and happy that I did. It's lighter, faster, more stable, seating more ergonomic (no back strain), less flex in the hull, Tackle Pod (for preloading), and the layout was far better thought out. Far better boat in my opinion.

Don't thin, just replace. I went to the following:
2x Viking Reload (one green, one Dorado)
Viking 400 Lite
Viking 2plus1
