That's some sharp work. Are you planning on a webbed finish on the deck?

What equipment do you use to get such a smooth finish.

the finish is great but not perfect there is some orange peel but hard to see
unless you get real close to the surface,

the technique is roll and tip , but in this case is
roll and roll. with good jamestown marine yellow thin foam rollers.,the trick is to get the coats very thin and sanded with 380grit between coats.
and offcourse a quality paint epifanes in this case.

We're the process of restoring an little 16 ft. Carolina skiff (she's led a very rough life to date) and are to the "painting" stage.

We know very, very little about marine paints... and are just starting to research paints.

Can you tell me how/why you picked Epifanes paint?

Thanks,

Bowfin47

you want to use 2 part paint .
one part paints are ok for topsides only.
there are really no reason why I choose epifanes , I used it before and happy with it ,, one part for topsides and 2 part for hull.

I have pictures of a Carolina j16 I restored and came out to be one of my nicest restorations will post it in a little bit for you.
