North end of meyers
North end of meyers
This pic was taken north of the shell road, inside the drainage districts levy. (S islands)
I've never seen grass grow like this on the flat. I wonder if it is going to take over?

you can count on it! But, the bass will take over, too, I will bet on that, too. Thanks for the update.
Re: North end of meyers
I will dream tonight about the Battle of the Bass and the Redfish....think I'll go to sleep early. Man......DA.
Re: North end of meyers
I went to south end a couple of weeks ago. Went to the levy, down to the corner, across to the pines, and out through the 'duck blind' pond. No grass like that anywhere, no bait, no mullet, no fish sign. Then back to Bessie Heights. Not much action there either. I guess I will start bowhunting again this year.

And effective Sept. 1 there is a new minimum length for Bass in Jefferson County 12 inches
Re: North end of meyers
The only problem I see is, its too shallow up on my end. If the grass takes over, you will not be able to go on the flat but my pick up some in the marsh drains. Id rather have redfish than bass. Im hoping we get at least a tropical storm with some heavy saltwater intrusion. Maybe it will kill off some of the grass.TKFStubb wrote:you can count on it! Another pic towards end of road lookin north
Re: North end of meyers
Did that area pick up a lot of silt? Maybe it is much shallower now.
Re: North end of meyers

Took this picture today from end of shell road looking back towards my house, which you can see in the background. Outgoing tide. Marsh is blanketed with savanna and water hiecents. Worst I've seen it I believe.

This is looking down Meyers Bayou from end of shell road.

David, do not let anyone drag that mess in your pit.

That would be a disaster!Piscator wrote:David, do not let anyone drag that mess in your pit.
