Re: Trout support
Absolutely... and I was really talking more about upper slot reds to slightly overs.. not bulls at the jetties. Secondary bays with oyster and sometime main bay shorelines or little satellite reefs tend to hold much better quality fish. The marsh has tons of smaller fish, with an occasional bigger fish. There are certain marsh ponds that you'll seem to find the fish are better than average and sometimes little thick neck linebacker redfish... toads. Those ponds tend to be a little deeper as well.
Here's another testimonial that came in this morning actually..from Jared Tomanek.
"Signs and explanations - I grew up fishing for crappie in the freshwater of Coastal Texas. My knowledge of saltwater fishing was limited to being a guest angler on a boat or with a guide. This video really taught me what to look for when I am fishing. It will be a video that will be used more than once because there is so much good information. From the knowledge I have learned, I have caught numerous fish and I just started on the saltwater a few months ago." - Jared

Finding and Catching Big Trout!
"Thanks for putting out some great videos and sharing your knowledge of the sport with all of us!! Have watched the two trout videos twice and can't wait to get on the water and put them into practice!!"
You are welcome Nathan, we want nothing more than to help anglers take it to the next level and catch more fish more often.

Re: Trout support
This was from Doug Atkinson in an email to me this afternoon. Doug was applying the techniques from the Shallow Marsh and Grassflats DVD and ... well..
"Anyway, I applied a few of the lessons from your shallow red fish DVD. It was the part about channels/creeks opening up into other channels or bigger ponds/lakes. I could see a few tailing reds so I threw the gulp mullet a good bit beyond where they were situated and just ran it through (another lesson on your dvd) and one aggressively took it. It was an incredible experience. I took a picture of where the two bodies of water intersected to do a better job of explaining the location".
Thanks again!

This was posted on another forum by MyCoastOutdoors...
"I love to fish new area all across the country. Any time I or my family travels I try to sneak in some fishing. This info applies across the board. - Michael
It's one of the cool things about the information as that you can go anywhere in any bay system and apply it.

Re: Trout support
These videos are great and have so much helpful information and just as some other people have stated I have gone back and watched them multiple times. I recommend those who have not watched them to do so.

Re: Trout support
Thanks CF.. dead on brotha,
Here's a note that came in from Blair Pfardrescher
I've been working with Blair a little through email and it's starting to turn around for him. He's been watching and re-watching as well. I think this was his best trip yet. I'd say he did pretty good.
"Tobin, hit it hard Thursday Friday and Today. Solo Thursday and buddy and I Friday and Friday and Saturday. We caught fish, good fish. Slot reds every outing, 15s 18s a few 20ish 2-23s and a 25 trout. We worked from 6:30 to round 2:30 every day. Putting fish together from different places in east matty. Lotta fish came off wades on ***** throwing right up on grass during swollen tides or with north wind. See a lotta guys drifting. Take care!! "
Congrats buddy. I'll post your pics up later when my connection is better.

Re: Trout support
Another new review came in on the big trout DVD.. short and sweet. It's a great time of year to pick up the set for stocking stuffers or just for your own christmas present... especially the Big Trout DVD which is perfect for kayakers.

If it wasn't for Tobin and his crew who helped create these DVD's, I would still be stuck way behind the learning curve from where I am at now. He truly goes above and beyond to help each and every angler whether he/ she may be new to the sport or salty. He's very knowledgeable and a great mentor. I still watch these DVD's all the time. My wife thinks I'm crazy, but you learn something new every time you watch them. Keep up the outstanding work Tobin!

Re: Trout support
Here's an email and a screenshot of the pic Bret Sent just the other day.. he's gaining speed and catching more and better fish.
"so I went to ****** in ******* which was protected by the east ne wind and launched at sunrise. Saw what you taught in the videos and headed that way. First cast I got a red and worked them more. I caught 4 mid to upper slot reds by 8am. Of course I only kept 3 but it sure felt great getting a limit so early in the day. Thanks for helping me through the learning curve T. This was a much needed confidence and morale booster!"
Glad to help out Brett, you are on your way now brotha.
and don't forget... there's always a 10% discount for 2cool and that's all year long as well. Code TKVA147

Re: Trout support
And here's an email that came in from Delores Belanger after watching the Shallow Marsh and GrassFlats Redfish DVD.
"So I just finished watching the DVD is segments this time and took lots of notes. Again....just can't say it enough...outstanding DVD. What I've learned from watching this is how to be more aware of my surroundings on the water. It's amazing what I can identify now after watching your DVD that I wasn't able to identify before. That isn't something a guest speaker can teach you in a seminar. It's something that I learned from watching the illustrations and video clips from the DVD. And this is not a video you can watch once and absorb everything, you have to watch it over and over again and let the information really sink in. It's really worth every penny you charge for this information. I am grateful that it's given me the ability to focus on my surroundings more which has made me a better angler. I'm going to send you a couple of redfish pictures that I've caught (and yes, my skills have improved significantly since watching this) since I started your DVD. Attached is a redfish I caught on my very first trip to Suwanee, Florida. Went out with two professional guides and several friends and I separated myself from the group and was the only one who caught a redfish and a slot one at that. This fish was caught on topwater on the edge of the channel at slack low tide. Very exciting !
Hope you had a great Thanksgiving,
Delores"
This is why we do what we do, we really want to see fishermen and women become better anglers and catch more fish and bigger fish more often. It makes me so proud!!! when I see comments like this. Makes my day!

I got homework to do this weekend, Tobin. Which of the DVDs should I go over for umpteenth time? Shallow Water Reds or Trophy Trout?
