Corpus Christi 2/18

Post by finaddict_830 »

Fished south of the JFK causeway saturday afternoon, battled the wind but found some keepers. Ended up with a limit of trout, a 19" black drum, and a bonus 22" red on the paddle back to the truck.

Nice Stringer! I was wade fishing further down around the backside of mustang island trying to figure our how to use lures. Didnt get one bite! lol its ok though know it happens sometimes. I saw someone in the yak, could have been you. The truck had a bed extender and kayak rack.

It sure does happen, to me a lot!! Got lucky the other afternoon 8) I don't believe that was me, but I've been wanting to get out to Mustang Island for a while now. Had some luck there a long time ago, can't wait to get back!

Very nice brother. Me and some other kayakers will be fishing around the Redfish Bay Causeway/361 between Port A and Aransas Pass Saturday March 18th and Sunday 19th. If you want to join us let me know. It is decently close to your spot

I might be interested in joining up with you guys if I can work out my schedule. Busy work season and the wife is currently pregnant with our first boy so my schedule is nuts this year.

Caution......,honey hole tip!

The area on the bay side of JFK causeway, on the Padre Island side of the inter coastal, was one of my favorite fishing spots. Very shallow (I used a 14 foot alum skiff with a eight hp mud king motor) and, perfect for kayaks. The power boats can't get back there.
