Potential Stolen Hobie Outback

Post by shoffer »

Someone is selling a Hobie Outback for 550 on Craiglist. Pictures show it to have a TKF Sticker on the boat. The kayak looks like one that was in really good shape once, but now, was trashed out by a thief and is now in rough shape. Pictures look sketchy, too - at night, no seat, mirage drive, paddle etc. Perhaps anyone whose kayak has been stolen should take a look.

Could be. Judging by the cam locks for the drive system that kayak is at least 10 years old. No drive and in very poor condition, it's not entirely out of line for price.

It's a Hank Parker addition. I think they stopped making those is 2011 or 12 so yeah it's old and obviously not in good shape.

and yeah, the missing drive could be worn through, and the owner doesn't consider it worth replacing

That old cheap thing might be just the Christmas present Watson needs to enter the modern world of kayak pedaling! Oh my.
