Been out of the sport since late 2015 due to a life changing experience, nothing major and personal, but I'm ready to feed the addiction again!
I've been lurking around a few days and it looks like it will be April before I get my new kayak, a Native Slayer Max due to everything backordered.
Anyway, good to see some of the old names still fishing and posting!

Look at it this way, anyone whom we can quote out of context from 11 years ago should be here to defend themselves.chicken... wrote:...
REVISION:
Looks like the Tarpon 160 Angler might be a better choice for me due to it's ease of paddling and speed, Any thoughts on how this compares with the Trident? I will be making a trip to Austin Kayaks to paddle both in a week or so.
Thanks to all for your suggestions and advice, I appreciate your responses.
Have A Great Day!
Welcome back, bro - looking forward to your new contributions.
Re: Hey, I'm Back!
Can you even buy a new Tarpon 160? Didn’t WS cancel that one along with my favorite The Commander 140? 11 years in the kayak world is forever.
I don’t know what I’d get now if my Commander ever goes kaput. I do still have my Tarpon 140, but I’m addicted to standing up in the kayak to fish, not going to happen in a Tarpon. Glad chicken... found one he likes even if it isn’t the one from 11 years past, but backordered, that’s also something entirely new.

I was just picking on one of his earliest posts for fun.
Last September, we saw the Last T160 for sale at Roy's for $900.

Ron Mc, I actually ended up with a Tarpon 140 and after 3 years of fishing with saltykat and keeping up with his Hobie Pro Angler, I stepped into a Native Mariner Propel and kicked myself for not doing it sooner
